The Skeptics In San Diego

On January 24, 2011, I was notified that The Skeptics In A World Of Their Own had been picked for screening at the San Diego Film Fest 7 http://sandiegoindiefest.com/ ; http://sandiegoindiefest.com/films.html. This is my first official screening at a film festival. While my March 25, 2010 premiere at the Weinberg Center was connected to the second annual Frederick Film Festival (F3), it was basically a pre-festival event that launched the festival, of which officially started the following day. It should also be noted that the Creative Alliance screening was a stand alone show, not affiliated with any festivals.

I'm pretty excited that the film is getting its first showing in Cali. Unfortunately, the band won't be their to provide the audience an energized set following the film. But not all is lost. Standing in for me is Andy McCutcheon, co-founder/singer/guitarist for The Skeptics. Driving down from Los Angeles, Andy will be on-hand for a question and answer session following the film's screening. I'm really pleased Andy is able to attend, as he'll be able to speak in detail about the film and also field questions about The Skeptics. It's perfect.

Ol' Holes Heels (OHH), the band's manager, was slated to make an appearance with Andy at the San Diego festival, but unfortunately, OHH will not be attending, due to an argument he and Andy had over their appearance while attending the festival. Incidentally, from 1984 - 1990, among many of his other duties, including helping to write some of The Skeptics' popular songs, OHH was also responsible for their wardrobe and hairstyles.

  1. Official Festival Screening or not, we at the F3 were proud to have your film, you, and the band! What a great kick off to the festival.

    Good luck at IndieFest!
